Engineered Wood Floor Installation | Free and Easy! | 2021/32

My existing wood flooring needed to be expanded into our formal living room, the carpet was old and tired, and my wife wanted wood throughout. The challenge is that the flooring we have in our house is no longer available, and replacing all of the flooring in the house was not in the budget.

The saving grace was my neighbor. We live in a tract home community where all the houses were built at the same time. He decided that he was going to replace his floors, and fortunately for me, it is the same brand, color, and style as my existing floors. There was plenty of full pieces and long cutoffs for me to complete this project!

So, I set out by removing the existing carpet, labeling and numbering the existing planks, then reinstalling them and the recovered flooring, the room was finish in about six hours, and came out AMAZING for the bargain price of free!
