We are "Governed by Consent" yet who has consented to be governed?
Some, (such as Guardian readers?) may claim the people have consented by voting for those who seek to govern us.
This is not so - they elected individuals to represent 'em and do they get represented? Rarely! The so-called 'representavives' simply follow their chosen party's policy which is no more than a corporate policy such as any corporation might write to govern it's employees.
