On Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021, Joe Biden held a speech in the White House to address America's "epidemic" of gun violence. The theme of the conference involved targeting "rogue gun dealers" and using the power of the federal government to licenses gun dealers if they violate President Biden's guidelines with a "zero tolerance" policy. During the speech, Biden made glib references to nuclear weapons in the context of resisting the government and proclaimed that Americans simply have no need for certain kinds of weapons.
