3 weather apps I use b4 flying my paramotor

Three apps and one website URL I use b4 flying.

Weather channel app -
This is good to give you a general idea of the weather coming up in your area over the next week. Please do not use the wind indication on this app solely to judge if you should fly today or not.

Windy (Red). (Blue).
There is a Windy app that is red and a Windy app that is blue. They are both good but different. The windy red gives me a general idea of the wind over the next week.  I look for the wind direction because if the wind is coming from the west and then abruptly changes where the wind is coming from the east, good indication there might be some wind shear. This app is good to generally check for wind and gusts. Do not solely use this before you go fly

Ventusky-
This is a really good all-around app for Weather. It’s very visual and it’s easy to understand and comprehend. It shows almost everything you need to know including wind, gusts and winds aloft. overlay to see thunderstorms, zoom out to see if they will affect you in the future.

If you are a numbers person, and you understand graphs and numbers, this app is for you. It shows the heights above ground level, magnetic heading, wind speed, wind direction, temperature high and low and will even color in wind shear yellow and red.
I would never use just one app before I go flying. Use multiple sources and while you are setting up your wing and your motor, just be hyper aware of the wind direction, the breeze, watching the tips of the trees to see If it’s more violent 100 feet above.
