UPDATE: Europe & CHINA Are CRASHING

The stock market was in for a wild ride today as earnings and global tensions weighed on market. Specifically, China played a huge role today as most major indexes there lost over 5% on the news of more expanded lockdowns. Even oil and energy markets sold off 5% in response to this. Despite this however, the US markets were all able to turn green as anticipation for the biggest earnings week hits. That being said, I wanted to given an important update on the state of Europe and discuss now how this situation in China can cause volatility. Simply, Europe was at risk, and the moves today from China, mean both countries pose a threat to global markets. If China stocks keep going down, this could be the first headwind before the energy crisis, and this can drag down global markets. The whole point is that earnings season and the Fed next week will create a divergence and now we have another bigger risk to watch out for.
