Elon Musk has sealed the deal on Twitter . The social media company said Monday afternoon that it has agreed to be acquired for $54.20 per share in cash by an entity wholly owned by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, in a transaction valued at approximately $44 billion. Under the terms of the deal, shareholders will receive $54.20 in cash for each share of Twitter stock they own, matching Musk's original offer and marking a 38% premium over the stock price the day before Musk revealed his stake in the company.
