How to Melt Gold and Make Gold Coins (Rounds) At Home!

In this video I pour gold for the first time and attempt to make my own gold coins or gold rounds by melting gold. When you melt gold you need to get it very hot. It is possible to melt gold with a torch and even melt gold with a propane torch, but I use an oxy/acetylene torch. If you are wanting to melt gold DIY or melt gold into bars and coins then this video is for you. I have never tried gold pouring before, but I have done lot of silver pouring so I am familiar with the process. In the video I show step by step how to make gold coins or gold bars at home. If you want to be pouring gold ingots, pouring gold bars, pouring gold coin, or pouring gold rounds then this is the video for you. Poured gold bars and poured gold rounds are extremely cool and fun to make. Hand poured gold is awesome because every piece is unique! I have wanted to make my own gold coins and rounds for a long time and I am super glad that I was finally able to pour gold for the first time. In this video I make a 1/4 oz gold round out of 24k gold. I use 24k gold shot and an oxy/acetylene torch to melt down the gold in a ceramic crucible or whip. I then pour the gold into a graphite mold before stamping and finishing the hand poured gold round. I had a lot of fun pouring gold and I am excited to make more gold art soon!
