In this video, Mr. Watson debates with P.F. Jung (Paul) about libertarianism and self-interest. Libertarianism is oftentimes viewed as an ideology devoid of manners or decorum; an insult to society and the individual's supposedly necessary reliance on institutions. Paul (PF Jung) argues that libertarianism's emphasis on self-interest is misguided. Mr. Watson, on the other hand, argues that libertarianism (and self-interest) form the basis for a both a harmonious self and a political system which respects individual rights. The two have a spirited & productive conversation about psychology, political philosophy, and what it means to be human in such a rapidly changing world as ours.
