Saab shows off new launch system for Swedish Gripen aircraft.

Post-delivery maintenance and repair of the launcher system will be carried out in Sweden.

The Swedish Defense Materials Agency (FMV) has signed a contract with Saab to provide the new gripen launch system.

The deal is expected to total $40 million (400 million kroner) and is signed in the first quarter of 2022.

Additionally, the contract includes an additional option to order the next launcher system in the series.

The New Order will develop and integrate new launch systems for the Gripen C/D and Gripen E counter-pod jets as well as air-to-air missiles.
