Tencent’s WeChat to reveal user locations on platform posts

WeChat, which is owned by internet powerhouse Tencent, announced in a statement that it would soon begin testing a new setting that would display the province or municipality of users posting in China. Posts posted by users from other countries would show the nation indicated by their IP address.
