Chicago Bears NFL Draft News and Rumors: Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. was selected by the Bears in the 3rd round at pick 71 of the 2022 NFL Draft. The selection of Jones bolsters the offense for 1st year Bears head coach Matt Eberflus and 2nd year QB (and the crown jewel of the Bears 2021 draft) Justin Fields. Jones played in 61 games in college with 21 starts over SIX seasons in college: 4 at USC from 2016-19 and Tennessee during 2020-21. He stands at 6-ft and 200 lbs. He caught 120 passes for 1,434 yards and 11 touchdowns in 6 college seasons.
