SCS EPISODE 74: U-B-INSANE

In between pauses and coughing fits, I do manage, just about, to make a start looking at the Department for Work and Pensions.

There are some numbers involved here that are a distinct problem, as the taxpayer burden here is higher than for all 9 of the departments I have looked at so far combined, and then there are supporting numbers to comprehend the state of the employment market that make absolutely no sense at all.

The level of employers data, considering the political attack of the past two years, also makes no sense, suggesting an artificial market.

As the title suggests, I then look at the total of the welfare state, and how this is not only a step away from the chains of UBI, but I also show how they are actually discussing it, with these discussions taking place during the period when you would have thought they had more important things to do.
