Yet another brilliant song from XTC's album, Nonsuch, this one written by the Band's Co-Creator, Colin Moulding...The Smartest Monkeys is a latent attack against two Key aspects to Mankind's Fallen form...One, that the vast majority, and certainly those in positions of "Power", choose to Live within the confines of their Left Carnal Brains, glorifying only the Physical realm of Experience, while endlessly denying that which defines them, the Right Godly Brain of Kindness...and Two, that by denying that which we are, KIND Man and Wombman, we bring to Life the ridiculous Theory of Evolution, by acting as if we are related to Fallen Primates, instead of simply being the Shepherds of God, deigned to Guide all those who seek Forgiveness in these Carnal Wastelands of Out There Thought...

Simply put, we are the Pinnacle of God's Creation, Man and Wombman, and we have ALWAYS been in this form...we did not Physically evolve from some other Lower Form...ONLY a Canaanite would even attempt to spread such a Lie, and ONLY a FOOL would believe it...the ONLY Evolution that exists, is that of our Soul, and the Metaphysical Journey that we must ALL set IN upon to seek our One, True Father...in Heaven Upon Earth...
