Canada's persecution of Christians Continuous.
Artur Pawlowski, a Christian pastor in Canada, has faced some of the most brutal treatment at the hand of police officers, correction officers and politicians. For what? For opening his church, For feeding the poor and speaking out against government overreach. Like James Coates and Tim Stephen, Arthur Pawlowski would spend much of his time locked away in Canada's most brutal prisons. Unlike James Coates and Tim Stephen's treatment. Arthurs's treatment seems to be cruller, Harsher and personal. It is clear the government is out to crush Arthur; his accounts of mistreatment at the hands of the authorities mirror the Soviet-style treatment that political prisoners experience during the Cold War. But the question is why? We Christians should expect nothing more than the worst of the worst treatment by secular governments. "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first." John 15:18
Christians have been persecuted for thousands of years. Church history is filled with Pawlowski Nightmare stories. And yet the one thing persecution has always done to the church has sanctified it and expanded it. Therefore, we should count ourselves worthy of persecution, all for the glory of God.
