May 5,6 2022 - Alberta Post-Secondary Vaccine Mandate Hearing

On May 5 and 6, 2022, the case of Nassichuk-Dean v. University of Lethbridge goes to court in Alberta on the issue of whether the University breached the Charter in the imposition of its vaccine mandate.
Last fall, students at post-secondaries, and indeed, across Canada faced demands for vaccination in order to continue in their education.
This case is one of the first in which a full Charter analysis will come before the court on this issue.
