T'kia Bevily and her Brother make a statement online.

Morris Bevily and his wife T'kia were indicted in the capital murder investigation of his 14-month-old daughter. Jurayah was found dead in her crib at approximately 5:30 a.m. on the morning of October 22,2017, in the home of the Bevilys. The death was ruled a homicide from blunt force trauma. Prosecutors allege the injuries occurred while in the sole care of the Bevilys. Mrs. Bevily is set to stand trial on May 2th, 2022. Both are facing the death penalty or life without parole.
Ms. Bevily was convicted at trial in January, 2021, but nine months later, the verdict was set aside by the presiding judge, Tomika Irving, due to a lone juror not divulging a distant, familial relationship he reportedly had with the victim. Ms. Bevily will face trial again on May, 2nd, 2022.
