The Giant Spider Crab

Check out the size of this Giant Spider Crab...it has just moulted from its old shell and is now twice the size. You can see the fish exploring the old shell the Crab has just emerged from. This Spider Crab is uncoordinated because it's new shell is soft and will take several days to harden which is why it's hiding under a trolley for protection. Soft shell Crabs are a favourite food for Stingrays, Octopus and sharks. Not a Crab a human would eat unless you like the taste of mud.
