Polaris stuck in mud recovery

June 2021 and another stuck in mud vehicle recovery! This is starting to become a habit! LOL. Join me for another fun deep woods Illinois vlog as I am back at Curtis' 101 acre Southern Illinois farm and we have been getting pummeled with rain for the last several weeks. A couple of weeks ago I installed a 'mud culvert pipe' at this particular crossing, and if you'd like to see that video here is the link:

So, in today's video I am partly to blame for Curtis burying his Polaris Ranger up to the frame in heavy clay mud. On my way out the back of his land he told me to go ahead and cross the 'mud crossing' as it has been holding up pretty good despite all of the rain. And since it was (currently) the only way to get back there I went ahead and crossed it! Of course I sunk down pretty good with my new Bobcat e42 R series mini and made a deep set of ruts in it. Fast forward to later in the day when we finished up and it was starting to sprinkle rain.. Curtis was headed back to the front gate and I was following behind him in my Bobcat mini excavator and he buried his Polaris Ranger up to the frame at that very mud crossing! When I caught up to him I had to figure out a way to get to the other side so that I could pull him out without me having to cross it behind him. I'm certain if I'd have tried to cross it one more time I would have got the excavator stuck. So, I cut a new trail through the 10 foot high brush around the crossing, and hit a few obstacles of my own. After successfully getting across and clearing a new trail I was able to pull him out with the bobcat e42, quite handily. Of course we did not even make it back to the parking area and it starting pouring on us!
