And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

Not enough to sway the Jews toward Conversion. Not enough to prevent lewd fellows from assaulting Jason. Not enough to keep the city from an uproar and not enough to provide Paul a welcome to stay and continue preaching. Not a few but not enough.
