MY HEAVENLY FATHER!!!

Luke 11:2 King James Version
2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

“Our Father, which art in Heaven”, Heavenly Father. These words can more than likely conjure up some interesting meanings to different people. For some they may be good positive things, but for others no. The reason is, that some people see these words as another extension of their earthly father, and that earthly father may have been abusive, cruel, and outright irresponsible in many instances. Some people may have had an absolutely loving father that gave them whatever they needed when they needed it, but others may have had a father that neglected, abused, and probably outright heated their own children! I'm just very glad to know that no matter what type of person my father was, my Heavenly Father isn't that way, and never will be. That no matter what I go through in life, my Heavenly Father loves me unconditionally, values me, and will never treat me with disdain.

I think that's why I'm so very encouraged by the questions from this morning's devotional today, and I'd like to share them with you right now. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will speak to your heart and encourage you through them too.

How can you make the Lord’s Prayer a part of your prayer life?

What feelings do those two words—“Our Father”—stir in you?

Reading this passage of scripture, reminded me of the fact that we have a heavenly father that not only loves us unconditionally, but values us and will never let us down.
