Under the guidance of people like JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy, Kevin Feige, Alex Kurtzman, Rian Johnson, Chris Chibnall, Ta-Nehisi Coates, and many others, our favorite franchises have been destroyed...our heroes destroyed...our expectations "subverted." What is the origin of this behavior? Can it be stopped?
