What is a spiritual sacrifice?

Sacrifice is a big part of the Old Testament. Abraham passed his famous test in Genesis 22. Jephthah sacrificed his own daughter in Judges 11:39. The list goes on and on.

However, how do we make our own sacrifices? How do we show God that we love him? I think it's time we found out.
