How does God protect us?

We all view God as our saviour, right? We believe that He will protect His children, just like any father would.

The question is, though, how? Is he going to perform miracles to save us from death? Is he going to send an angel to defeat all our foes?

We'll find out the answer, but I already know it's going to be a good one.
