Gayla Prewitt is an award-winning screenwriter and holds a graduate certificate in screenwriting from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. Her screenplays have been placed as official selections in the Scriptapalooza competition, the Faith and Film International Festival, the Branson International Film Festival, and the International Christian Film and Music Festival. In addition, Gayla has received an Honorable Mention in the 2017 International Christian Film Festival for her Seed Police screenplay. She was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Page Awards first ten pages contest for her screenplay, Sincerely Charles. She also played a small role in the award-winning film Vincent’s Vow, which received the best picture at the 2020 International Christian Film Festival. Gayla has over 25 years of experience in the video production industry. Her experience includes working as a television news producer, reporter, weekend anchor, producer of promotional videos for an educational non-profit, and as an adjunct instructor at a local university.
