Gary L. Ivey is an award-winning writer of screenplays and author of two novels in the “Backlash” series. He has worked as a pastor, a magazine editor, a television ministry director, an audio-visual and video producer, and is a website developer. He also has experience in graphic arts, animation, and music composition. His “Backlash” novel series, which deals with the impact of government regulation on the national economy, has been featured on radio programs and podcasts. He has written several screenplays which deal with the intersection of faith and the human condition. “Looking For Morning” won “Best Script” at the Branson International Film Festival in 2021 and has been honored at multiple festivals since. Ivey has been married to his soulmate, Laura “Toni” Sykes for 48 years and resides in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Ivey has been blogging for decades and his blogs are on his website.
