2022 Mercedes-Benz Concept EQT

The EQT Concept "combines a spacious and variable interior" with an "attractive design and Mercedes' hallmark high standards of comfort, connectivity, value and safety."

Performance and range details are being kept under wraps. For reference, the Mercedes EQV utilizes a 90-kWh battery that provides a range of around 250 miles and has an electric motor producing 204 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. Since it's positioned below the EQV, the EQT's range will likely be under 200 miles.

Slotting below the Metris minivan, the combustion-powered T-Class will launch in the first half of 2022 but isn't expected to go on sale in the US. Its electric EQT sibling will likely launch soon after. While it's unlikely that the EQT will be sold in America, Mercedes is developing an electric version of the Sprinter van for the US market.

Built in South Carolina, the US version of the Mercedes eSprinter will go on sale in the second half of 2023 and compete with the electric Ford E-Transit. Unfortunately for Mercedes, the Ford E-Transit has a number of advantages. Not only does it offer a longer range of 126 miles, but it's also arriving in the US market at the end of this year.
