Rather you can waste time on grinding "Yellow Jelly" which is enemy you can find in Antilon`s Den, right cave close to Edward`s castle. Then 2nd room, then room to the right. Thats where the enemy tends to spawn, and you can grind til you get "Rainbow Pudding" which you need for a sidequest in each playthrough. Use it as an excuse to level up high enough in this instance of the game.

Thats the genius with FF4 and FF3. Planning is essential design in these games.
