ETSU Buccaneers Men's Basketball is getting killed on the recruiting trail. May 12, 2022

Marky Billson has always said while some Southern Conference schools play in the shadow of the major programs near them, ETSU is subservient to Tennessee. And the most recent example is the transfer of Brock Jancek from the Vols to the Bucs. Nevermind he never got on the court in Knoxville- he's a former Tennessee basketball player- he must be good! The same could also be said of the logic of recruiting Jalen Haynes from Virginia Tech and especially Josh Taylor, who averaged 1.1 points a game for a Georgia team that lost to ETSU last December. This simply isn't a good look for ETSU no matter how they try to spin it.
