What is good Visual Acuity?

Visual Acuity is the ability to use both eyes to see clearly near and as far away as 20 feet away. Pediatricians, schools, and even home schoolteachers can screen for good visual acuity. If a child fails that screening, a referral to an optometrist is recommended. An optometrist does not normally assess Visual Processing Skills.
