Aetherial CQD scenario training: addressing the knife (wrist control/Russian/shoulder destruction!)

Students show one method of addressing a free swinging blad from a front approaching attacker.

Starting by using the webbing of both hands to "attack" the blade, she is able to stop the swinging arm momentum before the edge of the weapon reaches any vital spots on her person.

She then quickly transitions to a double wrist control position before pivoting out of the direct threat area of the attacker into a hip-to-hip alignment.

Inside hand releases and punches up at the bicep with squeezing pressure as she rotates her center of gravity over the attackers shoulder joint to expose arm break and disarm opportunities.
