🌎 Bicho Preguiça de Três Dedos (Bradypus) | Three-Fingered Sloth (Bradypus) | 2021

Bradypus é um gênero da família monotípica Bradypodidae, da ordem Pilosa, e conhecidas por serem as preguiças-de-três-dedos. Juntamente com as preguiças-de-dois-dedos (Megalonychidae), formam a subordem dos bichos-preguiça (Folivora). O nome preguiça-de-três-artelhos, que, por vezes, é atribuído a esses animais, é enganoso, na medida em que as preguiças-de-dois-dedos também possuem três artelhos nas patas traseiras.

Bradypus is a genus of the monotypic family Bradypodidae, of the order Pilosa, and known for being the three-toed sloth. Together with the two-toed sloths (Megalonychidae), they form the suborder of the sloths (Folivora). The name three-toe sloth, which is sometimes attributed to these animals, is misleading, as two-toed sloths also have three toes on their hind legs.
