Moral Reformation vs Salvation

Many disciples followed Jesus for moral, social, and patriotic reasons. John 6:66 in the King James Bible says many deserted King Jesus when they realized salvation is completely of God, and that we must die to self, and trust Christ. He, not us, receives the glory.
