Having been full time in the prepper/survivalist space for 13 years now I have heard a ton of BS excuses for inaction, a few include….

I am not going to have a garden because when the SHTF “they” will steal my tomatoes
I am not going to get into crypto currency because they are just going to shut down the internet
I am not going to build a particular thing because an EMP or CME will just ruin it anyway
I am not going to be a stock investor because some day the stock market it going to collapse
I am not going to start a business because “they won’t let me” or “they will just tax me”

I could go on but you get the point. I call this “I don’t wanna do it, so here is my black swan theory”. The individual honestly does not really believe their own bullshit story, they just want an excuse and instead of just saying, they don’t want to and generally simply because they don’t understand the situation and are to lazy to learn. Additionally when one takes such a stance over time and are continuously proven wrong, they tend to double down to the point of absurdity.
