The Peach that escaped the cold...

Happy Father's Day and also Happy First day of summer! The sweet corn has changed the most in the past week--it might be tasseling by next time! I picked our first mini-cuke today and ate a few early blueberries. And yes, one lone peach on one peach tree (out of 8) somehow survived the deep freeze of April. We had a handful of baby apples, too, but I saw most of them on the ground after the windstorm! no damage to the garden though, so thankful for that. :)
Stan has done a great job keeping the garden nearly weed-free...now the trick is to stay ahead of insects and disease.
