I THOUGHT THIS WAS ALUMINUM 🤦🏻‍♂️/ MELTING ZINC FOR THE FIRST TIME /DEVIL FORGE/ #zincmelt

Hello everyone 👋🏻!!

So this week I melted.. Something 😅. I was told that it was aluminum. But I don’t think it is😅. I’m thinking tin(pewter) or zinc.. What do you guys think? Let me know!

So I started the melt (thinking it was aluminum) with the forge set as usual. I didn’t notice anything when I put the other pieces in.

But after a while I stired it and all of the sudden, all the smoke 😅. I’m glad I’m wearing a respirator every time I melt😉.

Then I saw the weird stuff in the the forge, like cotton candy something.. I put the crucible on the stone, cleaned the forge, and after wondering what went wrong.

I decided to pour it(off course the camera was shut off🙄) in a pan because I thought that it was solide, it was not 😅. So I poured and the rest you’ve seen😉.
