A Visit to BLK Farms: Piglets, Lambs, and Sheep Allergies

Kristy is allergic to many small animals, and she is allergic to wool. We have never known if she is allergic to sheep or not, but we have never planned for sheep on our homestead just in case. Since some good friends of ours at BLK Farms have Commercial Dorper sheep (hair, not wool!) she decided she would be willing to attempt the ultimate test, and just go see first hand if she would have a reaction to these sheep. While we were there we got to see and pet lambs, piglets, chickens, ducks, turkey and their very friendly dog Smokey! (We even brought some surprise hatching eggs home!) Now we have a little better idea what options we have as we select new animals to grow our homestead.
