Abortion is on the minds of everyone these days… but who exactly does it affect?

Did you know…there were nearly 630,000 abortions in 2019, according to the CDC. However, not all states report abortion figures annually to the CDC. For example, California hasn’t reported an abortion since 1998. So, if you’re looking for a figure that shows the total number number of legal abortions since Roe v. Wade was enacted in 1973, it’s best to look to the Guttmacher Institute for an estimate. In the last 50 years, they say there have been more than 63 million abortions.

Did you know… overall, 1 in 4 women will have an abortion in her lifetime.

Did you know… women in their 20s made up more than half of all abortions in 2019.

Did you know… abortions also disproportionally affect black women. Although blacks make up just 14% of the U.S. population, black women account for 38% of all abortions.
