LIVING PROOF - Addicted to Living

Luke's middle name was 'wild'. Going heavy into drugs from a very, very young age - partying and living hard. And loose. Things went downhill fast as boundary-after-boundary was removed.

Luke had turned his back on a supportive and praying family and turned instead to a selfish lifestyle, consuming a heavy cocktail of drugs, to fill a deep inner void. Moving into the margins meant nothing was off-the-table but shuffling through a daily fog of drug-taking excess, nothing made any sense.

Dosed out of his head Luke no longer recognised the person on the mirror. No longer in control and feeling hopeless, he fell apart.

But one day, and still a young man, Luke decided that he just did not want to die.

There was a moment. A confronting spiritual encounter. Now Luke is addicted to living.
