Scooby Doo fans hate Warner Discovery tokenized Velma Mindy Kaling doesn't care

In the midst of the Discovery takeover Warner Media there are still some lingering remnants of the former Ann Sarnoff regime just won’t die. One such remnant is the Scooby Doo prequel Velma which is meant to serve as a Velma Dinkley origin story and a tokenized reboot of the character. This series which will be adult animation based on a children’s property is staring and being developed by Mindy Kaling from The Office and The Mindy Project for the HBO Max streaming platform. Who is this series for? Will a tokenized East Asian Velma be able to carry a series without Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, and Daphne? Does anyone care?
