Tippmann M4-22 Range Review

This video range review from our 2nd range trip was really enjoyable. However, the first session was bit frustrating as we discovered the magazines required the rounds to be loaded in a very specific manner. (Tippmann has a video on how this is done). Note: If you don't follow the process, you can expect to get failures to feed and eject. And our first sessions had multiple FTE and FTF issues.

The second session was a big success and so much fun! We shot multiple types of ammo with good success...but remember mags must be loaded with the magazine in a vertical orientation.

We found that this carbine seems to require the bolt to be wiped down and lubricated (lightly) about every 200 rounds. When we didn't do this, we had issues with extraction and firing. We attributed this to tight tolerances and expect this get better with time.

In our two range sessions we fired in excess of 750 rounds.

Bottom line, this handy carbine is a perfect way to train on an M4 style platform for a fraction of the cost.
