Recently, a legendary (and exceptionally rare) copy of "Jodorowsky's DUNE" went up for auction.

The Spice DAO decided to purchase this book, intent upon creating an animated series, opening it for public viewing, and incentivizing derivative works. They played themselves in the most spectacular way possible, and have now proposed minting NFTs of every single page, while burning the book after completion.

This is the dumbest purchase I have seen in my lifetime, and marks one of the most idiotic crypto ventures in history.
