Repacking motorcycle mufflers

I pulled the baffles out of my Road King and removed the packing from around them about a month ago. I put the baffles back in and while it was louder, it was a bit louder than my ears like and I was experiencing decell pop at an annoying level. Lesson learned. If it aint broke, dont fix it. I removed the baffles, repacked them and reinstalled them. Its a very quiet bike now, and I'll just live with it. If I only have two options, too loud, or too quiet, I choose too quiet.
