Are Your Game Mods Really Yours? - Nexus Mods New Policy

Mods (at least for PC gaming) have become a foundational aspect of gaming for tens of millions of people. The community organized and creatively sourced projects are capable of redefining and totally transforming many games... but the agency of these modders is now being called into question.

What code, is "your" code. If that code is used as a building block for further creation, when does it cease to be "yours" and when is its longevity prioritized above your rights as the creator, to remove it.

Its a question without an answer, and one I thought to be incredibly interesting as Nexus Mods has recently sought to take a step down the road of preserving what exists... even against its authors wishes because for a game like Skyrim, it can have serious ramifications.
