Big Tech data harvesting is no secret... but when that data is sold to anyone interested while platforms attempt to hide just how much of it there is, we have a bigger issue.

Signal apparently attempted to use that data and construct awareness ads, which they claim were struck down by Facebook. If true, it would showcase that the advertising framework will scrape and sell data, but intentionally obfuscates from average users what is being done.
