E3 has been a mainstay in gaming for north of 20 years. In the beginning, it was a place to showcase industry innovation and strive for mainstream recognition. In the middle... it was an elitist parade where media maintained control over the flow of information... and in the end, it was a deceptive, manipulative convention of lies deliberately crafted to separate gamers from their money often based on lies and deceit.

Now, with a pandemic backdrop, the digital distribution model may be flawed, but it also appears to be a rebirth for the convention which will allow it to move forward and innovate once again. (once they ditch the politics of course)
