342-721 Authentication: What Does the Government Authenticate

The gov't does not authenticate your birth registration or your birth certificate. It authenticates the seal (in relief) of the Registrar General that is put outside the margins of the birth registration! It does not authenticate or verify the information put on the birth registration either, it simply certifies that it is a true print of their record.
