Limestone Falls, SC -- 4K Cinematic

I went on this hike with a small friend group of fellow hikers, Lindsay, Leslie, Josh & David. This is a very lightly traveled trail that turns into a bit of a steep descent down to the base of Limestone Falls. It is only about a 0.5 miles RT, but the last 50 yds or so require a rope to descend to the Limestone Falls base. There is an upper and lower portion, at the time we went, there were too many downed trees to make it to the upper portion. I only do a handful of bushwhacks a year, and film even less of them. This is one that I would hate to see disappear because people simply forgot about it.

This hike is NOT on a trail, it is a backcountry bushwhack. There is NO TRAIL. I would suggest you are able-bodied, fit, can read a map, have a good sense of direction, and go with a hiking buddy. This is only a short 1.3 mile RT, but it's through thick Rhodedendrums, trees, and other underbrush. There are a few steep hills and after rain, it's very muddy, so please exercise extreme caution. This is a "know your limits" hike. THIS HIKE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. Also, bring a hiking rope to help get up some of the steeper ascents.
