BOSKO THE DOUGHBOY (1931)

Bosco is a soldier in the trenches during World War I. He and his comrades experience all the horrors of war in cartoon form. This is reminiscent of the 1931 Oscar-winning film, ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT. Doughboys are torn apart by artillery shells, aerial bombings, and machine-gun fire. This is more frightening than the cartoons with horror themes.
