Otherwise, the solution to the floating paperclip puzzle is this: Without bending the paperclip in any way, rest it flat on your fingers. Get your fingers and the paper clip wet. Then, very slowly, submerge your fingers into the water so that the surface tension of the water holds the paperclip. Then remove your fingers.
