RULES:
The object of this parlor game is for everyone to figure out how to play. Gather a group of friends who don’t know how to play. If you don’t know how to play and would like the experience of figuring it out by playing it, stop watching this video now.

To play, you tell a story about a hat then ask “who has the hat?”. For example, “I have a hat. I walk into a store and a parrot grabs it from my head. The parrot drops the hat on the street where a dog picks it up in his mouth. Who has the hat?” Listen carefully because the first person to make any vocal noise is the person who has the hat. This would include giving an answer, coughing, licking their lips, saying umm or hmmm, and so on. As people respond incorrectly, tell them no, but wait until a few people have answered or the guessing has stopped before informing them who has the hat. Then do it again, telling a new story. The story can be as simple or as complex as you desire.

Once people start figuring it out, allow them to tell the story of the hat. Also, keep in mind that you can make a sound after asking the question to help throw people off. Keep playing until everyone has figured it out.
